Every Poster Tells a Story: 140 Years of Hatch Show Print

For 140 years, Hatch Show Print has married events with art—for headliners from Johnny Cash to Jason Isbell, Patsy Cline to Paramore. With the exhibition Every Poster Tells a Story: 140 Years of Hatch Show Print, evocative artifacts provide a visual tour through the shop’s storied history.

On view until April 2020, Every Poster Tells a Story: 140 Years of Hatch Show Print focuses on pivotal periods in the history of Hatch Show Print, one of the oldest active poster print shops in America. The retrospective exhibition stretches from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Community Corridor to the Omni Nashville Hotel lobby, and includes a curated collection of Hatch artifacts—posters, blocks, and memorabilia—that trace decades of development, from the shop's founding in 1879 as C.R. & H.H. Hatch, Printers, to its continued breadth and dedication to a “preservation through production” mantra.

Located in the Community Corridor connecting the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and the Omni Hotel, this free exhibition is on display now through April 2020.
